Dave Maybee, RMT, is the Academic Director and lead instructor at the Canadian Institute of Auricular Medicine (CIAM). He also owns Clear Path Holistic Health. Dave studied at Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador from 2002 to 2004, earning a Diploma in Public Relations with a specialization in marketing and management. In 2008, he received a Diploma in Massage Therapy from Northumberland College in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This program included an intensive focus on anatomy, physiology, and neurology relevant to auricular medicine.
Dave managed Wilkies Court Massage Therapy and pursued Level 1, 2, and 3 Certificates in German Auricular Medicine from 2009 to 2010, under the guidance of Dr. Beate Strittmatter and Dr. Frank Bahr. He blends cranial sacral therapy and myofascial release with auricular medicine in his clinical practice to effectively address chronic pain and resistant conditions. His approach boasts an 85% success rate, attributed to his skill in identifying and treating obstacles to healing in alignment with German Auricular Medicine principles.
Dave's clinical methods include identifying deep-seated psychological blockages contributing to chronic pain. His 2020 presentation at the International Academic Forum on Standards for Auricular Diagnosis and Treatment in Foshan, China, emphasized unifying concepts for ear maps and point locations.
He recently had the opportunity to present at the International Auriculotherapy Symposium in Copenhagen, contributing his insights to advance the understanding of this field.
