Dave Maybee has been practicing Auricular Medicine since 2004 and teaching internationally since 2007. He is Academic Director of the Canadian Institute of Auricular Medicine (CIAM), where he offers both live and online training programs for healthcare practitioners seeking to deepen their understanding of advanced auricular diagnostics and treatment.
A long-time student within the lineage of Dr. Frank Bahr and Dr. Beate Strittmatter, Dave’s work bridges Auricular Medicine with contemporary understandings of trauma, nervous system regulation, and emotional root causes of chronic illness. In his home clinic in Nova Scotia, Canada, he focuses primarily on chronic, therapeutically resistant cases, using Auricular Medicine to uncover hidden blockages to healing—often rooted in unresolved trauma and emotional imprints.
Dave has taught in numerous countries and has presented at international conferences, including the OGKA TAO Congress and the International Auriculotherapy Symposium (Copenhagen, 2023). Known for his engaging teaching style, he is passionate about making the subtle art of Auricular Medicine clinically practical, accessible, and deeply meaningful for practitioners.
