Dr. med. Hong SHANG is a specialist in general medicine who has completed extensive training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in her home country, the People's Republic of China. She holds an acupuncture diploma from the Austrian Medical Chamber and has pursued further specialized training in numerous fields. She has successfully completed advanced training in Master Tung Acupuncture under Dr. Weichieh Young and Dr. Zhengtai Lin, as well as specialized training in Balance Acupuncture with Dr. Tan. She further expanded her expertise through training in Meridian Impulse System Acupuncture according to Nanjing under Dr. Songqing Fu and deepened her TCM knowledge with a course in “Jingfang according to Shanghanlun” with Prof. Huang Huang. Additionally, she completed specialized training in Contemporary Chinese Pulse Diagnosis at the Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine in Germany and China, enhanced her skills in tongue diagnosis with Dr. Hongchun Yin, and acquired in-depth knowledge of the theory of five movements and six kinds of natural factors during the “Wu Yun Liu Qi” training with Dr. Yueping Zhu. Her comprehensive expertise is further supported by continuing education diplomas in TCM and acupuncture from the universities of Nanjing, Chengdu, Beijing, and Wuhan. As a lecturer and TCM representative for OGKA, she is jointly responsible with Mag. Kraus-Bochno for nutritional training within OGKA. Dr. Hong SHANG practices at the University ENT Clinic in Graz and runs her own TCM practice for acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in Graz, Austria.
