Dr Trutnovsky obtained her diploma in acupuncture from the Austrian Medical Association (ÖÄK) in 2002, followed by further additional training: the ÖÄK diploma in psychosocial medicine in 2003, the ÖÄK diploma in psychosomatic medicine in 2010 and finally the ÖÄK diploma in palliative medicine in 2022.  Her professional career encompasses her training from 2000 to 2003 at various hospitals, including LKH Deutschlandsberg, LKH Bad Aussee and LKH Graz. From 2004 to 2012, she completed her specialist training at the University Women's Hospital in Graz and was awarded the title of Specialist in Gynaecology and Obstetrics in June 2012. She completed her habilitation in gynaecology and obstetrics in July 2014. From 2014 to 2017, she was an assistant professor at the Medical University of Graz (Meduni Graz) with a performance agreement. Dr Trutnovsky has been an associate professor at the Medical University of Graz since 2017 and her outstanding performance is particularly noteworthy, as she was rated as a "high performer" in the 5-year evaluation of the Medical University of Graz in 2022.
