Priv.-Doz. Dr Monika Wölfler has been a senior physician at the Women's Clinic of the Medical University of Graz since 2014. Prior to this, she worked at the Women's Clinic of the University Hospital of RWTH Aachen, Germany, where she completed her further training as a specialist in gynaecology and obstetrics as a junior doctor from 2004 to 2010 and worked as a junior doctor in further training at the Department of Gynaecological Endocrinology and Sterility Treatment at the University Women's Hospital Vienna and in the teaching practice of Dr Herbert Lager, Klosterneuburg, from 2003 to 2004.
In her academic career, she completed her habilitation in gynaecology and obstetrics in 2016 with the topic "Clinical and pathophysiological aspects of endometriosis". She completed her doctorate in medicine under German law in 2008 at RWTH Aachen University with the topic "Induction of labour with isosorbide mononitrate". She completed her medical studies from 1995 to 2002 at the University of Vienna and from 1999 to 2001 at the University of Leiden as part of the ERASMUS exchange programme. In 2004, she completed her acupuncture training with a diploma from the Austrian Society for Acupuncture.
