Lily Lai, PhD is a highly experienced TCM practitioner-researcher based in the UK and has been in clinical practice for 20 years. In 2010, she was awarded a prestigious 3-year NIHR research fellowship to carry out her PhD at the University of Southampton. Her research explored the use of Chinese herbs for polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), the first project of its kind to be funded by the NHS. She has a particular interest in metabolic health, inflammation and women’s health and is currently working in cancer research at the Christie in Manchester. In her free time, she loves to cook and explore the Peak District with her young daughter.
