Dr. Matthias Lechner, graduated in Medicine in 1991 and completed his general practitioner training thereafter. He studied TCM under renowned teachers both in Europe and China and has been practicing acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine since 1997. His qualifications also include training in osteopathy and psychotonics. From 1999 to 2004, he served as a clinical assistant at the TCM Klinik am Steigerwald, participating in research on polyneuropathy and neurodermatitis, and lectured at the University of Erlangen. From 2004 to 2009, he worked as a scientific assistant at Danube University Krems, organizing Master’s programs for TCM and Natural Medicine and contributing to studies on herbal therapy for osteoarthritis. Since 2009, he has run his own practice in Vienna and regularly teaches TCM phytotherapy and acupuncture at Danube University Krems and the Austrian Society for Acupuncture (ÖGA), where he serves as Vice President.
