Dr. Daniel Drebinger is a physician in training to become a specialist in Physical and Rehabilitative Medicine at the Department of Physical Medicine, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. He has extensive qualifications in acupuncture (basic and master training with the German Medical Acupuncture Association (DÄGfA), YNSA diploma from DÄGfA) and is a teacher of medical Qi Gong Nei Yang Gong (DÄGfA). In addition, he has completed training in medical hypnosis (DGäEHAT), holds a diploma in Manual Medicine/Chirotherapy (DGMM), and is certified in ultrasound diagnostics (DEGUM Level 1, musculoskeletal system). He is currently pursuing advanced psychotherapeutic training with a focus on systemic therapy.
As a co-founder of AKUDEX®—a digital reference platform for acupuncture—he is dedicated to improving education in acupuncture and related therapeutic methods.
His scientific focus includes the ultrasound-guided evaluation of physical therapies, particularly analyzing tissue changes (musculature, fascia, blood flow) and quantitatively investigating therapeutic effects (e.g., trigger point, fascial, and regenerative therapies). Additionally, he evaluates early rehabilitation outcomes using Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs).
